Love the wood base on this piece as it has its own character with the hatch marks along the edge. The silver in the Dachshund is more of a matte with a bit of a luster  as an accent in places. From the side and top, this piece almost looks like it could be one-of-a-kind. Yet it’s not full metal nor as heavy as it looks like it would be.The flip up on the tail is darling.
